On Sunday, we talked about the reality that we all fall short of what God would have us to be and do. We all sin in the areas of body, mind and spirit. I asked you where you struggle with sin and where you strive for holiness in your life. It may be that you struggle in all three areas, but which one do you struggle with the most? What is it that seems to tempt you the most? Pray for strength to resist the urge to sin in this area of your life. Seek out scriptures that give you an authoritative word on that issue, to give you a "strong word" to resist that temptation. With time and application, God will give you the ability to stand strong and become victorious.
And remember that Jesus has already overcome this world; He is the one who lived without sin and then gave His life to pay for our sins. Walk in the knowledge that God has already one the victory for us and that we can walk in holiness as God creates it within us.

Bill, I agree. Growing closer to Christ makes temptation easier to detect and it also gives us a "dis-taste" for sin itself.
