Jesus' Return
According to one group, Jesus will return this Saturday, May 21st, at 6 p.m. While I appreciate the specifics, there is just one catch: Jesus Himself said that He did not know when He would return, only the Father does. (Mark 13:32)
From the very time of Jesus' resurrection, there has been speculation about the time of Jesus' promised return. Various groups have attempted (and failed) to predict when Jesus would come for His church and establish His Kingdom in all of its fullness. And although many have tried to predict His return, and failed, it should not make us any less concerned with when it will happen.
Though we cannot know the specific date (or time, for that matter), we should, as Jesus teaches us, be ready.
Luke 12:35-40
35 “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, 36 like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. 37 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. 38 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak. 39 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. 40 You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
There are several truths we need to accept. 1) Jesus will return, 2) We do not/cannot know the hour, and 3) We must be ready when it happens. Whether or not Jesus returns this Saturday, we should be working to build His Kingdom on earth in the meantime.
Are you ready?

Pastor; I just got an email from Jesus (no joke thats what it said) and he said
"There are hundreds of earthquakes daily, asteroids coming toward earth, volcanos going off almost weekly, birds falling out of the sky and animals dying in masses worldwide, He is coming, be ready.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
Accept Jesus as your Savior."
But I agree no one knows the time or place, he will come like a thief in the night!
