I am currently reading Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. This is a riveting true story of how two men from very different backgrounds are brought together by the vision and love of one woman, Ron's wife, Deborah.
I am finding this book equally involving as my previous read (The Shack). I find it refreshing to see that a commitment to the reality of what Jesus calls us to do and to be can have such an impact on the lives of others. I am also reminded of the blinders that we all wear; blinders of a judgmental mindset that keep us from seeing others as they really are - children of God. It is when those things that divide us become transparent that we really see who others are in God's eyes and what they can become. I invite you to pick up a copy of this powerful book.

I just completed this book and highly recommend it. While similar to The Shack, this book is not fiction. I was moved by the basic theme that one person, who has a passion for their vision, can change many lives. Something we should all be keenly aware of as memebrs of the church. Peace.
